Hi,

Go to ST02 and there is one line for Program Buffer. I know that size of the proram buffer can be increased using <b>abap/buffersize</b> parameter.

What is the name of the parameter to increase the number of <b>directoris</b> for Program Buffer.

Is there any parameter for this or it is calculated form predefined values.

Please let me know.

I will appreciate your help.

Thank you everybody in advance.

Hi Sume,

AFAIK the only parameters for the program buffer are

abap/buffersize and abap/pxa (mode of operation).

Hi Sume,

can you please explain your problem? I don't know what you mean with "directories for program buffer", as the program buffer is a shared memory region which stores generated ABAP programs, I can't think of any kind of directories in there. But kindly teach me something new please

Well if you see the Program Buffer line in ST02, which is just before CUA.

Now the value in the second column (<b>Allocated</b>) is abap/buffersize. My question is the how to increase the value in the fifth column, which is <b>Dir. Size Entries</b>.

Hopw it is clear.

Thank you.

Hi Sume,

sorry, now I see what you mean. There's no direct parameter of that, I guess it will be calculated (as lots of other memory parameters do), for example with abap/buffersize / 4.
