Hello Everyone,

I have a requirement in which I need to assign the measures and dimension to the infochart (Stack Column) using script. Also I have to trim the X axis label, for example Jan 2015 should appear as J, Feb 2015 as F. Please answer if this is possible in design studio or not. I am creating this on top of BEX query and I am using DS1.6.

Many thanks in advance.

Regards

Rajiv

Please help me understand - what is the true requirement? Requirements aren't "scripts"

The easiest way to change the label is back in BW using the InfoObject short/medium/long text.

Hi Tammy,

Thanks for your comment.

Actually I have to show 4 years monthly data in Stack column chart, so 48 columns will appear in the chart. The chart has year and calmonthyear in x-axis. Now, the value for the x-axis is coming as Jan 2015, Feb 2015, so have to trim this to fit in the columns into the chart. I want to trim this in DS using script. At info object level they won't allow to maintain this.

Rajiv Kumar

Hi Rajiv - 48 columns is a lot to show in one chart; I recommend really re-thinking the design to show less. Consider reviewing Stephen Few's document on Communicating Numbers: https://www.perceptualedge.com/articles/Whitepapers/Communicating_Numbers.pdf
