How do I send automated welcome emails to new leads?

Hi Experts,

I figured to create a workflow that automaitcally sends a welcome E-Mail whenever a new lead is created but it didn't work. Is there any other way to create such an automation or has anyone else had trouble with that too? Happy for any advise.

Hi there,

I encountered a similar problem when trying to send an automated welcome Email directly to a newly created lead. I do not have the possibility to select "EMAIL ADDRESS OF LEAD" for determination. Any thoughts?

What we would like to do is send a specific email based on either lead name or campaign name to the email address of the lead.

Hello Tamara,

The only way is via Workflow.I am able to get email notification when I tried following :=>

1.Created a workflow rule with i)Business Object as 'Leads' ii)Timing as 'On Create Only' ,without any condition and under Define Action :: i)Rule Type as 'E-Mail' ii)Maintain Subject and Template File iii)And Receipient under section 'Employee' with my email id.

=>As soon as lead created ,I received email.Please cross check this will work.

**Note::If you are using Recipient from section 'Recipient Determination' by clicking Add Determination.You can cross check ,weather the 'Determination' you added in the Rule do exist in the New Lead which got created.

Did you find any way to send email to your lead's email id ?

I am also in the same situation, I need to send email to the user who has created account. Unfortunately I am not able to find account createdby details in recipient determination.

Any suggestions ?

Hi Tamara,

Using workflow you should be able to trigger an email when a new lead is created. Can you please verify the workflow conditions. What problems are you facing with the workflow you created?
