Door Assignment - TU

Hi folks,

Is there any report where we have can check ,which all TU's are assigned to door ?

How we can release or remove the TU alignment to door?

Suppose TU1 is assigned to Door1 but due to some issue the process halts.

And how TU2 is can be assigned to same Door1 which is occupied by TU1.

We have limited doors and such situation often occurs.

Thank you experts.

George

Hi Fawaaz/Jurgen,

Thanks for your help.

As we can reverse the loading process by creating the WT which is then unloaded to bin from door.

How can one reconcile same after goods issue,is this possible in standard sap ?

Thanks,

George

Hi George,

So there are 3 status' that you should be concerned about when it comes to TU Door Assignment - Planned and Active and Completed.

Planned: Door has been assigned to TU but not yet docked onto door (no yard movement done yet). The same door can be planned against multiple TU's because it is technically still vacant/open.

Active: Door is no longer vacant/open because a yard movement has been confirmed and a TU is docked onto the door. The door will no longer be seen as available (the tick or checkbox in the door dropdown list).

Completed: The TU has been removed from the door via a yard movement.

These door yard movements are S&R Activities which can be viewed in tables /SCWM/TU_SR_ACT and /SCWM/TU_DOOR.

To answer your question, yes, there is a report which can be used to display TU's docked to a door:

/SCWM/MON (Warehouse Management Monitor) -> Outbound -> Documents -> Shipping Overview -> Transport Unit Overview Outb. -> Transport Unit Header Outbound.

In the selection screen, enter your time horizon and then select Direction of S&R Activity (Inbound or Outbound TU's), then select the relevant radio button to display the status you are interested in. In your case 'Active' for TU's that are occupying a door or 'Planned' for TU's that have been assigned doors.

Note also that if TU's are Active on a door and you can't seem to get them off with a yard movement, chances are there is an open Yard Movement WT (Warehouse task) that has not been confirmed yet which is why you cannot do another yard movement for that TU/door. In the Yard Movement screen at the bottom, you can see any 'Open WT's in Yard'.

Hope this helps.

Thanks Jurgen .

Actually i am unable to remove that TU due to status update, delivery is also assigned to TU.

Now when i am checking door during yard movement all doors are occupied, none are available for yard movement.

How to make doors available for yard movement ? Because of this i am unable to do Yard movement.

Earlier i was able to see available doors with check box.

I just wanted to know how the doors are reserved and released during yard movement.

Help me to understand this scenario.

Thanks

George.

Hi,

"Is there any report where we have can check ,which all TU's are assigned to door ?"

You can see this in the warehouse management monitor.

"How we can release or remove the TU alignment to door?"

From that display you can go into the details of the TU, and in there you can change or remove the alignment.

"And how TU2 is can be assigned to same Door1 which is occupied by TU1"

At least in my system I can assign the same door to two different TUs, it is just not possible to move the second TU to the door if the first one is still there (with full YM active).
