Does breaking tiles references when moving them to a custom catalog makes the apps/tiles custom?

I have created a custom z catalog and am moving manager and employee apps(tiles) to my custom catalog and their references(target mapping), does breaking the app(tile) references makes my app a custom app? will i still get support from SAP on those tiles/apps that i broke the references

SAP with support you (hopefully) in terms of standard catalogs.

If you create new catalogs (100% ok doing so), fill it with tiles and target mappings references and then break the references it's fine as well. I hope you or anyone else reading this have a good reason to break the references on purpose.

If you have an issue with your tiles from your catalog, before opening a support incident and waiting an unknow period of time, I'd rather check what is happening in detail. You can always use SAP catalogs to test if they work as well. In case of an issue, SAP will provide you a note which will fix it's own catalog and not your.

If SAP changes it's catalog, you will have "outdated" catalogs. It's up to you to "fix" the broken reference or not when that happens.

In any case, I would rather avoid brealking references. I would rather create my own tile pointing to a standard app.
