Dynamic variant for posting period

Hi All,

I am trying to incorporate 2 queries into three workbooks (one workbook for Current Month, one for Current Quarter, and one for Year-to-Date). There will be a selection variant for each workbook that will automatically update the selected posting period for Current Month, Current Quarter and Year-to-Date. Is it possible to create a variant that will automatically update the posting period? What’s the use of "Selection variable" in variant attributes? Thanks for the help :=)
