Vendor Master REplication from CRM

Former Member

Hi friends,

I am maintaining Employees from CRM to R/3 and these EMployees exists as Vendors in ECC (Purchasing). So whenever I replicate a document it is giving me error with these Partner functions CSR, Field Sales

The possible reason could be I have no option to map the Vendor Accountgroups to CRM Classification through PIDE(ECC)

Question is

How do you I maintain vedor master mapping to CRM partner functions,

I have already mapped the CRM Partner functions to R/3 Account groups, but i am assuming that I need to maintain the classification in PIDE to replicate.

So please help any suggestions will be greatly rewarded

thanks

Raj

Hi,

This is what we tried to achieve for Vendor Determination (for forwarding agents in R3). We extended the vendor to sold-to-party in CRM after it was downloaded from R3. This way they go as Customers to R3 and then can be used in R3.

Trust this helps.

Hi Subramaniyan,

Thanks for the Reply. But this is supposed to happen real time.

Here is the detailed explanation again. I am maintaining the Partners CSR, Field Sales (Internal Employees) in Vendor master and they are coming into CRM as Employees with Mapping Data Transfer. When the same replicates to ECC through a Quote or Order... The problem is these Employees CSR, Field Sales from CRM to ECC are not linked to any of the ECC Classifcations becasue we dont have any option to do so.

Now when i replicate becasue the classifcation is not mentioned, it is popping back to me and giving me as error on just these 2 Employee functions.

To resolve this issue, I have to maintain some kind of mapping structure using a classification Consumer, Competitor, Customer, or Prospect. In a different way, I have to assign the vendor account group to a classification. which is not possible through PIDE, coz PIDE only allows you to map customers not vendors.

My question is how do i handle the incoming vendor partners from CRM into R/3.

thanks a lot

In CRM 4.0, you need to download vendors using a BBP transaction BBPGETVD. This is the work around to download vendors into CRM.

The vendor equivalent of PIDE is PIDV this is explained in the documentation in the oss note 883162 about data exchange for vendors. This document states how vendor records are created however there is no relationship transfer from CRM to R/3 or vice versa as far as I know. We have a similar issue transferring vendor partner functions and are currently trying to solve this, any help would be gratefully received

hope this helps

Hi,

This would not be the case. Because Vendor download does not happen through the standard Middleware download but as mentioned above through BBPGETVD which is a BBP middleware and not CRM Middleware.

Hence the download of Vendors do create BPs but not into any of the CRM roles. Hence the only way is to extend them either directly or use the BADI BBP_GET_VMDATA_CF and then send the BP to R3 back.

Hi TVS,

I am sure that the vendors are created as BP with a Vendor role. We have done this in a CRM 4.0 environment with R/3 backend and we are using the vendors in CRM.

Hi Prakash,

I tried to download Vendor Master in CRM as you suggested with success. Do you know if it's possible to create a Relationship in BP (sold-to) that has the Vendor as Partner Function in R/3? I tried to add a new Partner Function (type vendor)to a Customer in R/3 but no Bupa_Rel bdoc are created. Is there some mapping missing?

Thanks&Regards

Hi,

Vendors are a new object type in CRM 5.0. Can download directly from R/3 into CRM. Vendors are created as business partners.

This should solve your problem.

Jothi,

I am using CRM4.0 and i havve no problem downloading them to CRM. But i have a problem at the time of replication. There are no Account Groups exist in PIDE becasue PIDE only provides Customer, Cosumer, Prospect Account groups.

Becasue my problem is with Vendor Master I need to find a way to Map the Vendor Account groups to CRM grouping

Please help
