SAP Business One 9.2 - Error when installing the Server Tools on a notebook

Hi, I'm attempting to install the SAP Business One Server Tools (version 9.2) on a notebook running Windows 10 Home Edition. In this configuration all B1 components will be/are installed on the same machine (the notebook).

SQL Server 2014 Express Edition is installed and working properly. SQL Server was installed with the Instance option set to 'Default'.

I am launching setup.exe with the 'run as administrator' option. The setup wizard successfully logs on to SQL Server.

All the other components install successfully including the SBO-COMMON and SBODemoUS databases. It does not create the SLD database.

The 'Multiple network adapters' occurs because there is a VPN client installed on the machine. It is documented to cause slow performance connecting the client to the server, but this error happens when trying install the server component.

David Gutman, Have you tried to stop all SQL and SAP services and start them as follows?

MSSQLSERVER

SQLBrowser

TAO_NT_Naming_Service

B1LicenseService

SLD or B1ServerTools (Depends on the version you are using)

Please check the Progamfiles(x86) security rights , give full permission to modify , read etc. Then try to reinstall.

Hi Nagarajan,

I downloaded PL07 and unfortunately it gives the same error (error -3). Ran the setup program using an Administrator login and using the right-click Run As Administrator option. Any ideas???

Have you followed system and hardware requirement guide? Did you open required ports for SAP B1?

If I am not wrong, some where i read PL03 installer is not working or corrupted.

Could you download it again through Download manager?

Hi, I downloaded the install files via the Download Manager. They appear to be the same and file I manually downloaded. Running Setup.exe to install the server component gave the same error (error -3). Is this the correct PL for a new installation?

Just a comment here David: PL07 is supposed to be out today, latest early next week. PL07 will have direct installation option again. So waiting for PL07will save you from another update.

The info.txt file contains the following:

And, VERSION.ASC contains the following:

Hi Nagarajan,

I uninstalled the VPN client software, confirmed that its network adapter no longer appears in the Network Connections screen (off Network and Internet in the Control Panel), and finally rebooted the machine. Next I logged in as an Administrator and ran the B1 Setup.exe with the 'Run As Administrator' option. This time the multiple network adapters warning did not happen. But the installation still failed with the same error. Here is the contents of the log file:
