Web Intelligence Server Returned Invalid XML

Hi all! I'm new here. I recently opened a report (SAP Business Objects) and found myself getting the following error message: "The Web Intelligence server returned invalid XML. Contact your administrator. (Error: RWI 00200)." I've no idea how to solve this issue. Help is welcome.

UPDATE: To provide more details, the error occurs when I try to view it in a Chrome browser (in Internet Explorer that report merely freezes up). Now, when I run the report through the Modify option (refreshing the data), the report runs okay (on Internet Explorer).

Have you tried searching for KBA's in the support portal ?

Hi Denis! No, I haven't. I'm not that familiar with any of this. I'm a newbie.

To provide more details, when I open the report in order to view it, that's when I get the message (particularly in a Chrome browser; in Internet Explorer the page simply freezes). However, when I run it through Modify (refreshing the data), the report runs with no problems.

    • well, when you receive an error - you should always start searching for the solution on support portal -
If you can't find any solutions there you can ask here, but please provide entire picture :
      1. what product you're using and their versions
      2. exact workflow that produces the issue and all other details on behavior.
      3. Is the issue report specific or happens to all reports, user specific or happens to all/many users.

based on your information so far - report works fine in Java report panel (modify workflow), but fails to open in webi viewer.
there are about 28 KBA's on this error in the Knowledge base, so I'm sure one of them will solve it for you.
