I am installing a SAP ERP2005-system. The Steps to Install the ABAP-Part are successfull. At the Java-Part Sapinstall ist trying to Create the Java-Users. Installation stops because "User SAPJSF has no password". I cant find any hints in the SAP-Notes. Is there anyone else with the same Problem? Or maybe with a solution? We are using JAVA-SDK 1.4.2_09.
Dear friends,
I faced the same problem too. I use Java 1.4.2.13, RAM 2GB set to virtual Mem 16GB.my OS Win2K3 Server. My IDES ECC version 6.0. Something wrong with my installation? coz I've tried to do some advices i found here, but still not solve.
btw, i tried to login with idadmin, pass:ides123 client 001 but can not login. then i follow advice from this forum to login to 000 client with sap* and do SNRO and PFCG for SAPJFS (after that restart)
also, when i have to create J2EE_ADMIN/GUEST?before create SAPJSF ?
anyone can help with this problem? I could not found Jaava 1.4.2.08/09 at java.sun.com so I use 1.4.2.13

I have tried to change the initial password for sapjsf
log raise the message 'password is not correct' and if you do not change the 001 password then log sys 'initial password must be changed ' so I THINK IT IS RUNNING UNDER LOOP ! SO I THINK 08 VERSION IS THE BEST SOLUTION.
Cheers !

I tried a complete Re-Installation (including Win2K3Srv) and set the virtual RAM to its maximum. Then the Installation succeded. I dont know exactly why these actions solved my problem. I think that the installation aborted because it has too less Memory and the Error-Message was not really helpful

Hi,
you have to use JAVA version J2SE 1.4.2_11 SDK or higher than that for ERP2005
the only draw back when you use Install J2SE 1.4.2_11 SDK is the java system copy is slow, so go for Install J2SE 1.4.2_12 SDK.
Check the SAPNOTE 709140 this ultimately leads you to note 716604
