hi guys

i have use the new version of the <b>front end editor</b> in the SAP 7.10.

but i found a problem, when i want to comment some lines in the program, i want to use the shortcut key ,

As we know in the old release the short cut key of the commenting line is Ctrl + <.

but in the new SAP release the system help told me the shortcut key of the commenting lines should be Ctrl + \, but i found it's invalid.but when use the menu help , the comment lines is valid.

i dont know why!

who can give me a hand ?

Go to the GUI status of the editor program (System->status) and see what key is mapped for the menu bar function code for commenting the lines.

Ravi

Hi,

I'm 'just' working with ECC 6.0, Basis release 700, Level 0007: I don't have problems with the shortcut CTRL+<

Check, which GUI version you use. Currently 'most up to date' is 640, version 710 should be shipped in future Q4/2006. If you really have the new version, the create an OSS-message -> looks like there are some bugs included. (All about the windows version, do you use java?)

Have also a look, that you have newest patches: setup is version 23, GUI is version 19 - there are a lot of handling problems solved.

hi guys

maybe i am not clear for the shortcut key in the new version front end editor for the comments lines, i think the short cut key in the new version for the comment lines is Ctrl+\, but it's invalid when i use.

Could anybody know the shortcut key in the new system?

How did you get a hold of a WebAs 7.10?

Also, the Ctrl + \, does not work in my WebAs 7.00 either.

William,

I found the same problem in the WAS 7.0 editor. The context menu lists the comment shortcut as Ctrl+/, but that doesnt work.

Maybe an OSS message is the best solution?

I am coming in a little late, but have you tried ctrl + < ? Even though it SAYS ctrl + \ in the menu, it's still ctrl + < that does the trick.

There is a solution available at the following link,

Comment and uncomment in the new SE38 editor: Doing it the old way

( )

Has been explained very well . I tried it and it worked like a charm.

PS - Request to people, please post the correct answer/link if you do find an answer to the problem
