Hello Experts,

Our client is planing to use automatic load builder for containerization i.e. optimizing space of shipping container (load according to volume) for Purchase requisitions.

Below are the summary of drawbacks/Failures when we compare to the requirement with the standard WLB13 run while creation of PO for PRs under vendors:

1. Failing MAX/MIN restriction limit and allowing to create PO for any volume even if it is more or less than MAX/MIN limit.

2. Restriction profile assigned in control parameter of WLB13 is not working. Restriction profile assigned to vendor master can be seen in WLB13 but it also failing.

3. System is creating PO for all PRs for the vendor # XXXXX under double line display. Not for the selected PRs as required by Sri.

4. Multiple POs gets created for the vendor # XXXXX under double line display.

5. It is also picking third party PRs.

6. Clients wants to allow users to manually select/edit the PRs/PR Qty to adjust it to match container load and create the remaining in the next Container manually. This is not possible in standard.

Standard Automatic load builder is failing on every counts.

Pls advise.

Thanks,

Basant K Sharma

This sounds pretty depressing, are you certain your system fulfills the prerequisite which is explained in the docu: https://help.sap.com/saphelp_globext607_10/helpdata/en/4c/420d6f470a11d1894a0000e8323352/frameset.htm

Had you ever succesfully done anything in Load Builder or is this your first attempt at all?

I can only see 2 OSS notes regarding WLB13 in the last 5 years, it is in general an old product and I would expect that it works well if such few notes are present in such a long time.

In general if something is "not working" then it might give you error messages and you should then try based on the error message to get to the root cause, e.g. finding OSS notes or SCN content based on the error message. This is usually a more promising approach.

Also for each individual problem explaining your customizing and master data settings, the expected behavior and the result that you get along with screen shots could help to get help

Reading OSS notes, even old ones is good too, as some explain the design.

How will the OSS note numbers help you if you have not even access to the Support side to search yourself.

I cannot check on Load Builder details as I am not on a Retail System.

Please post your screenshots here.

check the Best practice document prior to it: http://help.sap.com/saap/sap_bp/BBLibrary/Documentation/296_ERP605_BPD_EN_MX.doc

Hi Jurgen,

Thanks for reply.

I am not working on retail system. We are trying to use automatic load builder on ECC 6 system.

I have access to the support side. I need to know the notes numbers you mentioned.

I already have Best practice document and checked it. Following this best practice I tested WLB13 and shared the same results.

Thanks,

Basant.
