Error while activating the View

Hi i am trying to activate the view, but it is resulting in this below error.. i am providing the complete details of the view i created, please help me out what is wrong in this...

Hey Kris,

The error seen on SU53 clearly says that it is an authorization issue. Please forward the same screenshot to your basis/security people and ask them to provide you authorization to create custom database objects and that will solve your problem.

Hey Kris,

As I suspected earlier, this seems to be a problem with authorization. Please consult your security team.

HI Guys this are the messages i am getting now after changing my view fields, i have added all the key fields under the view fields...

VIEW ZFAB_SUMBLCAL was not activated

Check view ZFAB_SUMBLCAL (OGIL/07/12/06/08:51)

You do not have authorization for the database modification

View must be created in the database

View ZFAB_SUMBLCAL is consistent

Is this some king od authroization permission i need to get from security.. Please comment...

HI sunraj thanks for the reply, but if i do a join on all the key fields , most of my data gets filtered, i have almost 8 key fields and as of now i am joining on only 3 key fields.... Thats my situation, lets say if i did a join on all the 8 key fields i might not even get any records....

Please comment on this....

Hi Kris,

I saw this line in your error message: "You do not have authorization for the database modification". Also, it mentioned that the view is consistant. That means to say that you might have some authorization issue. Try to activate the view again and see if you get the same authorization error again. If you get the authorization error, go to SU53 and see if you got any log there for this activity. If SU53 log says you do not have the authorization, please go to your security team and request for this authorization in dev system. Hope this helps.

hi Krish,

i hope u have created a database view, u are getting these errors because ur view is not consistant. Now Since it is not consistant, it will not avail any data to the datasource.

Now, how to resolve ur problem, See While creating the view make sure u join all the key fields with their source tables, as long as u do this system will keep showing u these errors. So while creting the view u feel that it is becoming very bulky, but dont worrry about that, just join all key fields in table to their respective source table.

Once u jon these all ur errors will no longer..

Now check the data in the view, can u see all the data into the view, (u may not find all the lines, this is because of ur join condition with different tables, )

Now go to datasource, rectivate it, so that it will contain latest defination of the view.

in RSA6 or RSA3 see the data in datasource, if is ok then ur problem is entirely solved.

if u have still problem let me know. i have done this activity, so i am very pleased to share things with u.

HI nagesh if i dont change the field name then i am gettin these messages untill i change each and every field that is being repeated, here FUTYP for example and then once i change the name to FUTYP1 then the next one MANDT and so on....

For some of the names in view fields i changed them by placing 1 at the end, to eliminate the message so and so foeld is not unique. Any suggestions will be helpful..

Hi Kris,

The problem here is the key fields of one of your tables is not included in the view fields. For example ZTF_BTRN-CALCID is a key field in your ZTF_BTRN table. It is mandatory that you include the key fields of all the tables in the view in view fields. Otherwise, you will not be able to activate the view. What you can do is that you can select these fields in the view and then hide them in the extractor. This way, your view is also correct and you will not have the fileds that you do not want to see in BW. Let us know if this solves the problem and if you need any more information.

r u creating <b>Database View</b>?

try to <b>select all the key fields</b> from all these tables. make these fields as key fields.

double click on error message for further information(red icon).

Hi,

1. In your view fields i cannot see any fields getting selected from Tcurc table.

2. Can you check in both the "Z" table that both the relevant key fields are selected.

3.Your mandt field join should be like

ZTF_BTRN MANDT = ZTF_CUBD MANDT

ZTF_CUBD MANDT = TCURC MANDT

You can remove "ZTF_BTRN MANDT = TCURC MANDT" since in you about two condition your joins does satify..
