Hello, We are implementing BCS 6.0, and we need supplemental information for SEC reporting that is currently not in our Chart of Accounts and in some cases, is text like comments or explanations. What tool are other companies using to accumulate this information? Is anyone using BI or something in SEM to gather this information? Our old tool was an access data base with ALV layouts. Looking for any insight or suggestions on where we can accumulate this information using standard BI (IP) or SEM functionality. Thanks.

From my experience, the supporting information that is text, they are usually use ms word rather than SAP.
This ms word is the template. Usually when the company's doing IPO, the consultant firm will give them the template for them to fill in.
