I want to rotate the bar char in order to make the following requirement to compare two years results in that way.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Youssef,

I'm not sure if there's a way to achieve a butterfly chart by CSS rotation but one workaround is to use two bar charts where the data for the prior year is defined as negative values. An example result is shown below:

Of course a disadvantage with this workaround is that you have to suppress the value labels as they appear as negative but I thought at least the approach might give you some ideas to start with. I'm sure there was a similar SCN discussion and solution posted before but was not able to find it via search.

Looking at it from another perspective, one question I would ask is is a butterfly chart really the most effective means of comparing the result of two years? Since each bar is a reflection, it is not really possible to visually compare one year to the other. Personally, I think a more direct comparison would be achieved by using a grouped bar chart as shown below:

Hi Mustafa,

Thanks for you help.

I agree with you that the butterfly chart is not the most effective visualization to compare the result of two year.

but i am already used a lot of grouped bar charts in the same screen for similar KPIs, I were just looking for another way of visualization to avoid recurrence of charts.

Best Regards,
