Auto TO not being created when stock GR'ed with ref to a purchase order into an HU managed warehouse

Hi All

I have two issues if any one can help please

1. We are having trouble setting up the system to create an Auto TO when we do a GR into an HU managed sloc with reference to a Purchase order.

In this case we need to do the GR first into the warehouse and then a TO needs to be created. The GR is done with a 101 and the stock is received, I can see the stock in the interim sloc 902. What do I need to activate or check to get a TO created Automatically

I have checked the IM WM interface for the mvt that is set up. The WM mvt is set up. I have defined the sequence for TO for the Item category for my warehouse to do the goods movement before the TO

2. When I create a TO from this location manually via LT01 it picks up a bin and all is well.

When I use LT03 or LT09 I get an error "Movement type 000 is not allowed. Why is the system trying to use MVT 000. With LT09 I enter MVT 101 or 999 and still get the same error

As I understand the mvt used is the one saved/used in the inbound that is 101 I can see that on the Mat doc that was created. Where is the 000 coming from

Thank you in advance

Hi All

I managed to get an Immediate TO to create. What I did was change the shipment type from "E" putaway on the warehouse mvt 101 to an "X" warehouse supervision. I do not know if this is 100% correct but it is working for us and doing what is required.

Thank you for all that shared there thoughts and tried to assist

Please see the settings I did and the result

Hi Guys

Thank you for the reply. I managed to get rid of the error about mvt 000. I switched on the allow TO before GR Path SPRO > Logistics > Handling unit management > Basic > Delivery > Define sequence of transfer order - Goods Receipt. That with the Item category set to "Relevant for put-away" Path: SPRO > Logistics execution > Shipping > Deliveries > Define item categories for delivery.

All the config for Auto TO is set up. I have also tried to set the config to create immediate TO that is also not working.

Hi,

As Raghu said, please set the auto TO creation at first and then please do not forget to set the mail control for this auto TO creation process. With the mail alert, system will issue an alert to states what is the problem when the auto TO isn't created.

And for your problem with error L3001, could you please check if the "LIPS-BWLVS" WM movement type is set as "000" in the inbound delivery? If yes and this movement type 000 isn't maintained in WM management, so the error L3001 is issued. Please refer to SAP KBA 1670509 about this.

Best regards,

Edward

Hi Manish

Thank you for your replay. I understand that LT10 is used for stock movement within a warehouse. After the IM movement is done the stock is in the warehouse in an interim location.

I want the system to do to an immediate TO after the move from IM location into the warehouse location. I have set up the config to use 101 as a mvt type in the warehouse.

When I use LT10 and mvt 999 it works but that is not what I want. The mvt that needs to be used is 101 so that is why I used 101. I am trying to find out why the immediate TO is not creating. Because we do net get any mails to tell us what is wrong I was looking for transactions that can give me an Idea of what the system is looking for to be able to create the immediate TO.

The fact remains that even after the config is done the reference mvt and IM WM links, all is done. When I do a GR via an Inbound that references a PO into an HU managed warehouse the stock is GR'ed and is placed into 902 interim bin as expected but not TO is created the process stops there. I want to know why. Is there anything missing is that how it works for Hu manged locations. What is the system looking for.

As you are using movement type 101 for LT10 you are getting this error message Transaction code LT10 is for the movement of stock within warehouse and in this case normally you use movement type 999

your approach for using LT10 with movement type 101 is incorrect

Hi Kumar

To get all that detail again will take some time as the programmer is busy on other projects.

I ran transaction LT10 on the advice from a friend and found the error "Enter the requirement type and number"

The requirement type is there "B" but the requirement number is missing "TR" so I now need to figure out why the TR is not creating.

The config between the IM and WM interface is setup to create a TR as you can see form screen shots loaded at the beginning of this thread

Can you please get the code detail from the programmer

also

1) what is the value maintained under immediate TO creation for movement type 101

2) what is the Value maintained for WM movement type 101 under Automatic TO

Hi Manish

We are not getting a mail

Just to also inform all we have moved away from Auto TO create to Direct TO create as this will be better for the client

We have asked a programmer to debug the program and this is what she found.

The program gets the movement type 101 that was used for the GR and pulls that through, it also picks up on the config setting for direct TO creation. and sets some flag as 1. Later on when the program now needs to create the TO from the interim bin because of that flag that was set as a 1 the Direct TO config the "A" is not found and the code for creating the TO is not executed.

So the TO is never created, this happens with Auto and Direct and that is way we are not getting a mail.

Basically because of config for TO creation the TO is not being created. We have now started to look at how the delivery is being created to maybe see if there is anything that might be causing this from that side

what is the message you are getting after scheduling/ running the job , it is always a good idea to set up the mail control to get the detail in inbox for failure

Asking the obvious again - do you have the background jobs running for RLAUTA10?

Hi guys

This is the config that I used. I maintained each seperatly and also together. I still do not get a TO.

For Auto TO

And for Immediate TO

Did you setup the Automatic TO creation on the WM side? SPRO -> Logistics Execution -> Warehouse Management -> Activities -> Transfers -> Setup Automatic TO Creation for TRs / Posting Change Notices?

There is pretty good help in the IMG Activity Documentation.

Hi Manish

The mat doc

The mvt type is 101.

Im doing a GR against an inbound delivery via transaction vl32n.

The inbound was created from a Purchase order.

You will note that the Interim storage bin is the PO number

The stock moves into the warehouse but no TO is created to the bin. There are bins available and the TO does create when done manually

The warehouse is a test warehouse but all config is done as it will be/is/should be in the production system.

Could you please share the WM view of the material document what is the movement type appearing there also what are the step you are following

"GR into an HU managed sloc with reference to a Purchase order" - can you please elaborate more on this
