I heard SAP Business One beeps whenever an addon form or modified system form does not follow the SAP Standard Design Guidelines. I am using 2004A PL23. And, several of the forms that I have updated beep; however, functionally they perform as expected (except for beeps).
I would expect that SAP would either
(1) allow the developer to turn the beeping off, or,
(2) provide a means for the developer to investigate which guideline is causing the beeping.
( No, pulling the plug on the PC's speaker is not a suitable option for dealing with this. sigh )
Would someone help me figure this out? I'm sure there are others needing help with this.

Hi Scott,
Hopefully this reply finds you still sane...
I've never come across this issue with any of my forms and I'm pretty confident that not all of them will be 100% compliant with the SAP Standard Design Guidelines.
I quickly tested this and created a very funny looking form using Screen Painter, that couldn't possibly comply with the guidelines (eg fields too large for the form, fields on top of other fields etc), and this can be loaded without problems and without beeps (it just looks rubbish!).
Does this happen on any workstation you test on?
I'd recommend you get in touch directly with SAP via the SAP Marketplace and log a support call as it sounds like a bug (albeit a very strange one!)
Or....erm...get some good earplugs!
Hope this helps,
Owen

Hi Scott,
how did you get your 'beep' issue sort in the end? I am experiencing the same when I log on to 2007 B. The System starts beeping for a few seconds before the application starts.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Sonja
