Dump TSV_TNEW_PAGE_ALLOC_FAILED in RIEQUI20 (IH08)

Hello Experts,

We are experiencing an dump TSV_TNEW_PAGE_ALLOC_FAILED for IH08 transaction in production.

Termination occurred in the ABAP program "RIEQUI20" - in "SELECT_V_EQUI_L". The main program was "RIEQUI20 ". In the source code you have the termination point in line 2280 of the (Include) program "MIEQUI20".

I understand it is because of the selection criteria, but user says they cannot narrow down the selection criteria.They want to run the report with same selection criteria.

Selection criteria is as follows:

Period - 01.04.2016 to 31.03.2017.

Class type - 002

Class - Zclass and valuation all the asset groups.

Please advice.

Did you search the SAP Notes for TSV_TNEW_PAGE_ALLOC_FAILED?

Did your users try transaction CL30N for search with class?

Transaction IH08 is not designed to handle search using only classification data. Depending on size of table equi, you receive dump due to overflow of internal table.

Solution

In case you would like to search for equipments using only classification data, use transaction CL30N. This transaction is designed specially for class/characteristic search."
