How to configure Support News Tiles (RSS Feeds) on HANA Cloud Portal

Hi Experts,

I've a requirement of a NEWS Tile to be made available on Portal FIORI Launchpad on HANA Cloud Portal.

We're using SAP Netweaver 7.5 SP 05 in HEC environment.

I've created a NEWS Iview using the iView Template but I am missing out few configuration steps which is why it's not working as expected.

Can someone please provide the steps to be followed for configuring the NEWS tile on Portal FIORI Launchpad.

Hi All,

I'm trying to configure the Proxy Server for Portal which is a prerequisite for the NEWS iView to work properly, if the selected fetch mode is Server Side.

This is being done to avoid the issue related to 'Access-Control-Allow-Origin' header which comes when we choose the Client Side fetch mode to fetch the RSS feed provided by the application server.

As I am not very confident about the property values required to define the Proxy Server for the Portal, please share your project experiences if somebody has already configured this before. A document on the configuration of proxy server settings will be even better.

Hi Rohit,

As per my understanding, these links are related to configuring a NEWS Tile on SAP FIORI Launchpad on the Gateway Server.

However, I am looking for the configuration steps of NEWS Tile on the FIORI Launchpad from the Enterprise Portal standpoint.

I think there are some additional settings to be performed other than creating a NEWS iView on Portal which I am missing at the moment.

Need those steps to achieve the objective.
