Changing layout of survey

Hello Experts,

I'm having a problem with transaction crm_survey_suite. So far I have built a survey for application opportunities. The graphical result does not come close to the original version of the survey unfortunately. Due to a lack of designing methods the surveys are always longer than the original hard copy template I refer to.

How can I change the layout of the pages of my survey. E.g. I would like to use the full space of the pages of the survey more efficiently instead of having everything on the left side of the survey document. This would mean that I want to be able to place selectionbuttons (maybe with the aid of a table like in HTML) more freely, put in a logo into the survey, etc...

Can I generate my surveys outside of SAP-transaction "crm_survey_suite" and then importing them to SAP again and assigning them to the transaction (e.g. opportunity)? This would help me building more intricate surveys...

Thanks for your help!

Hi Hauke,

I dont know if this works, But try it, I am 90% sure that it works. Build a XML (not HTML) file outside SAP, with the intricate design you wanted and Import the same to CRM_SURVEY_SUITE. Chooase Opportunities and click on Import button, then browse for the file and Upload. There is an Import Button, which is 2nd button from Activate button.

I know this works becasue these are client dependant and cannot be transported as versions. So i had to save on my disk and upload the same to next client and it worked.

Dont forget to give points if this works

Thanks

Hi Hauke,

You can control the layout by modifying the style sheets and xsl templates in the survey repository.

On the crmd_survey_suite transaction, click menu "Go To -> Survey Repository". This will list the css, xslt etc that is used to generate the surveys.

You can see information on how you can maintain these css and xslt files.

This needs expertise in xslt and css.

Hello Prakash,

thank you, yes, I now realized that this is the only way to manipulate the survey design. Will have to look for somebody who is skilled in CSS XSLT...

Have a nice start of the week,

Hauke
