SCC1 in HR

Colleagues,

Our functional people say that it is normal practice for Configurers to use SCC1 to move client-dependent HR config in individual transports around the dev system. I agree with them, but can find no autoirty from SAP OSS or elsewhere, except in an email from our SAP AG consultant. The Security people don't like this but there is little risk for an epxerienced configurer.

Opinions and Authorities invited.

Regards,

Jimmy.

Jimmy,

This is very common practice, especially when you have a unit test client in DEV with some data. You do config in your golden client, and you can move the transport to your unit test client without releasing them to make sure your config is correct. Instead of multiple transport requests to fix the same config or undo the previous config.

Thanks,

Lye

Hi,

This practice is being used in lots of places. I agree with the approach and as it says there's very little risk for experienced configurer.

Cheers,

Kedar
