EXCEL ->PI -> 3rd Party Webservice

Hello,

We have a scenario in which a macro will run in Excel , and it needs to get data from a 3rd party application (webservice for which is available). This has to be done through PI.

This is probably a file to SOAP scenario, but do I need to create a webservice in PI so Excel can call it?

Hi Alther,

No Sender SOAP is necessary, you can create a CSV or plan text file in a folder shared with PI (via NFS or FTP or SFTP). Later in PI you take the file as attachment (

This can be done, but this is not what we are trying. Excel file will reside at a location, and will request for data (based on the 3rd party webservice we have ). This has to go through PI.
