SAP Business One applications + Internet Explorer cannot reach SLD on local server

Hello everyone,

I'm having a very odd situation with one of my customers:
Only on the server the SBO applications AND Internet Explorer cannot reach SLD. There should not be any firewall or proxy issue, as Google Chrome finds the address normally, and also telnet on ports 30000 and 30010 is fine.

B1i cannot access SLD showing the error:

com.sap.b1i.adapter.dia.exception.ConnectionFailedException: Connect to Business One failed.
(-8037) Failed to connect or logon to SLD, please check connection parameters and configure file
{b1Server=SAPSERVER, company=SBO_TMI_TEST, licenseServer=SAPSERVER:30000, dbType=7, dbUser=sa, userName=B1i}

DTW also says that SLD cannot be reached.

SBO Client says the following in the logs:

Tec Computer:SAPTERMINAL01, Version:9.10.150, Program:C:\Program Files (x86)\SAP\SAP Business One\SAP Business One.exe, PID:8044 # # TID=5636 B1Logger.cpp 229 Customized=0

Biz No se pudo conectar a System Landscape Directory (SLD). Póngase en contacto con el administrador de sistema. # # TID=1416 MID=231007711 Area=Gestión Customized=0

I'd like to say again that this only happens on the SBO server. On other PCs everything runs fine.

The biggest issue here is that the Integration Framework runs on the SBO server, so... such applications would not connect to SBO DBs with the situation as it is now.

Any help is appreciated. Thank you!

Hi all,

Found the root cause of the issue! Somehow some Windows Updates disabled TLS on the server, and this causes LOTS of errors in Event Viewer, SBO, and many other applications.

SAP Note 2334025 (and MANY other apps' websites) provide the answer for that.

Thanks!

Hey Johan,

The server was not removed from the domain;
No 2nd network card;
No folder shared recently;
Proxy/FW is not the issue here
No hw firewall

I just found that the system throws this error about 10x a minute:
A fatal alert was generated and sent to the remote endpoint. This may result in termination of the connection. The TLS protocol defined fatal error code is 40. The Windows SChannel error state is 808

And everything is pointing to this.

Leonardo

Just brain storming:

  • Was the server somehow removed from the domain / assigned to another domain?
  • Was a second network card on the server activated?
  • Is it a virtual server?
  • Was a folder shared?
  • "There should not be any firewall or proxy issue" = famous last words.
  • Do you have a hardware firewall?
  • If so, in combination with a software firewall?
