Crystal Reports 2016 API?

Hi,

We're currently using the Crystal API supplied in Crystal 2008 to create reports from C#.

We're planning to upgrade to Crystal 2016, and I'm struggling to find any documentation for a Crystal 2016 API.

Does the 2016 runtime include an API as previous versions do? I am aware of the Crystal reports for Visual Studio, but this looks to be a different product.

I'm planning to buy an upgrade version of 2016, and was expecting the API to be included.

Any suggestions as to where I can find this info?

HI Jamie,

No, we stopped shipping the SDK with CR Designer because CR for VS is a complete product now, it includes RAS, where CR Basic that used to be included with VS was just the engine.

Download SP 19 from here and the links for the Guides are there as well as Licensing.

First link i s to integrate into VS, all others are redist packages only, do not instlal them on your DEV PC.

Any version of CR Designer Reports will work with the SDK. But we do recommend keeping CRD up to date.
