Dear Cuong,

First of all you cannot stop activation process. Its a background job and once its scheduled it cannot be forcefully stopped. As said by Douglas this may lead to inconsistent in the repository content of the solution.

Regarding second issue -> Error 1 [Activate] ABC: Operation currently not possible; field maintenance locked by user USERDEF

Kindly check unlocking user from session administration -> Administration.

NOTE -> If you are trying to delete the fields then its not allowed in maintenance mode.

As you might have some syntax in original solution and editing or deletion will make the solution inconsistent. You cannot delete the extension entities from the patch solution..

Please follow the Help Documentation from studio which explains in detail about the behavior.

Hello Douglas,

We have problem when activating the extend business object(Sales Order)

In my project, i added many extension fields, each field also have extension scenario, when i active this object it take long time and then show the message:

"Error 1 [Activate] ABC: Operation currently not possible; field maintenance locked by user USERDEF"

I'm logged in with user name =USERDEF. I try to activate again and this time will be another field.

Please advise.

Thank you and Best regards,

Cuong Nguyen.

Hello Cuong,

Ideally this process should not be stopped because once you trigger the activation on SDK, it is also triggered in the Backend. Stopping this process probably could lead to inconsistencies in your data/solution.

Usually if the solution is inconsistent this process will end up in error and the activation process will have the status set as “failed”, so, anything will be changed.
Could you please share with us why would it be needed to stop this activation process?
