There is a difference between document total and its components

My client created a PO document

But when she updates details on the added PO, there is an error which states:

"there is a difference between document total and its components"

How to fix this issue?

SAP version is SAP 9.2 PL 3

I had the same issue. I had a formatted search and the Auto Refresh is set to Line Total. This is Causing the FC(Formamted Search) for Circular dependency and causing the Line total to mismatch with the doc total. Changing it to ItemNo. resolved my issue.

Please check if any Fms is set for calculation of price/ total. Also you can test in backup database by unchecking the option under document settings-->Rounding Method--> By Currency

An error appears due to rounding problems of amounts or due exchange rate difference.
