hi Shiva kumar,

That port is generally used by your SAPinst.EXE file... check your taskbar if any instance of that application still runs... if so, right click on the icon and exit.

Then restart the installation.

That should solve

Hi Arun,

I restarted my system lot of times but whenever I start the installation the following error occurs:

"Connection to localhost failed on port 21212, java.lang.connectException".

Any help is appreciated.

hi all,

Thanks for your time.

I found the cause (my firewall is stopping it) so I disabled for some time and able to install it.

Hi Siva

The port is being used.

Please remove from services file in C:\WINNT\system32\drivers\etc\services (Windows 2000) or C:\Windows\system32\drivers\etc\services (Windows XP) . A possible entry can be excluded by using the hash symbol (#).

Cheers

Make sure that the port is not used by anyother application. Or just restart your PC and start the installation again , it might work

thanks
