Fi Extraction from R/3 to BW

hey guys,

pls tell me how to extract the data from FI & Co to bw. i received a doc wherein they have provided 2 tcodes which was inbuilt by our company, one is for p&l summary fiscal year report and second one is orders report. pls tell me what r the steps create our own datasource and extract from r/3 to bw.

ur help will be appreciated.....

Hi I would carry out the following:

1) Determine the reports (programs) which are behind the transaction codes

2) Determine whether there is a base table (or group of). If established build a Generic Extractor (RSO2) using the base table or if group use a view (you can use an InfoSet Definition if required just to determine relationships)

3) If no base tables need to create a function module which would need more input from business
