Hi,

I am getting the following problem when deploying the Adobe Interactive Form application developed using Basic Authentication onto the server.

com.sap.tc.webdynpro.services.exceptions.WDRuntimeException: Error during call to AdobeDocumentServer: Processing exception during a "Render" operation.

Also I have done only the Basic Authentication, so is there any need for SSL Configuration.

Hello Tiffny,

First, test whether your ADS is running. How you can do it: Go to the http://<server name>:<port>, then click on the link Web Service Navigator. Under “Available Web Services” you should see „AdobeDocumentServices“. Now you can test it.

When it runs, then take a look at the layout of your Interactive Form in Adobe Designer. You should align your objects (like text field etc.) inside of the “Content Area” (body page). What does it mean. When the width of the body page is 8 (with x=0,5, y=8,5), all your objects should be placed inside of these 8 inches.

Hope it helps.

Kind Regards,

Marita

Hello Tiffny,

first of all make sure that your ADS is up and running. Take the wsdl url that you have specified while configuring the client proxy for basic authetication and try it on your browser. The test the web service with all default values. Check the response code.

For more details on the error, go to the log configurator of your visual administrator. This will give you more information on the actual error.

Hi Krishanu,

Thanks for your responseI have checked the url that I had put in Web Service as http://versa:80/AdobeDocumentServices/Config?style=document

and when I run this url which seems to be working fine and on run it I test it, also it gives wsdl url which is

http://versa:80/AdobeDocumentServices/Config?wsdl&style=document

and on clicking this url it opens the xml document.

I have also checked the Log, where I find that

Can you tell me which file it is looking for.

Hello Tiffny,

Your ADS is actually looking out for the template (XDP form) which is supposed to be available at this URL.

It seems that your web dynpro and ADS are running on the same system and there is no way that the ADS should fail to retrive that. Even more strange is the 503 error.

It seems that you have changed the hosts file entry to change your system name to <b>versa</b>. Could you please revert it back to <b>localhost</b> and try the application again. Do not forget to change it in all the places (proxy, hosts, browser) wherever you are using it and then deploy the proxy from the Deploy service in visual administrator.

Hi Krishanu,

I have changed it to <b>localhost</b>, but still getting the same error.

Please help me how I can resolve it. Is there any settings that I have to check?

Hello Tiffny,

This is now getting critical. We will try an annother approach here and if it solves the problem, it's okay, otherwise i am afraid that you will have to raise an OSS ticket on SAP with all the traces and information in hand.

But before we do that, i need to know the SP level you are on ? Is it NW04 or 04s ? Can you get me the system information by navigating as follows: http:<host>:<port> then click on the System Information link > log on > click on All components > search for <b>tc/wd/webdynpro</b>. Please paste the version info of the abobe mentioned component here.

Hello Tiffny,

Thanks for the information. Actually, we have a work around available for such URL based problems and thats available only with the patch release of SP15. The reason being i asked for those information. I am not sure whether would it be feasible for you to apply the patcg for SP15. Please check with your admin.

But, it happens so that the services takes some time to come up specially if you have installed web dynpro, ADS on the same machine. Both the services are pretty heavy. Could you please check with the task manager whether the XMLForm.exe has started or not ? Although, we can not force start it but this service must be running for ADS to work properly.
