dynamic modification rule for production order

Hi

I try to assign inspection lot for material from Production Order. I couldn't make it.

I have done in:

- MM02: assign inspection type 03,

- CA02: modify the routing of material, so after first operation is completed inspection is needed.

I put in inspection characteristics, butI couldn´t put in DMR. It isn´t active or after I press enter becomes inactive?? )

- Coois: release production order

I thought that inspection lot would be created automatically, and that material would be seen on QA32 but it wasn’t.

So I have 2 problems:

How to assign inspection to material from Production Order?

How to assign DMR to inspection characteristic from CA02?

Hi Petra,

Another way to do it -

create a inpection plan for that material for usage 1 with the DMR.

When you create a routing, use a control key PP04 or QM01 as suggested by Craig.

Now you can assign the inspection

plan to the routing by clicking on copy Characteristics in characteristics overview in routing.

That only copies in the characteritics from the inspection plan though. It doesn't actually USE the inspection plan.

In the future, if you change the inspection plan, those change are NOT reflected it the routing. It saves time by not making you enter them one by one. But you still have to make the QM settings in the routing header.

Petra,

No, you can't use the control keys you mentioned unless you change them. To use inspection characteristics in an operation and get the inspection lot for it, you must have the indicator "inspection characteristics" ticked on for the control key for that operation. If you need things like time tickets, confirmations, etc..on the same operation as the characteristics, you may need to create a new control key with the appropriate items ticked on.

I put DMR (H11) in field inspection characteristic, because in case that there would be many characteristics with different DMR.

I still have problems.

If I describe you what I did by steps:

in MM02 I assigned Inspection type 03

in CA02 I fullfilled in header:

and in routing I insert inspection (meritev)

and put in Inspection characteristic

Afterwards we test it. After first operation material should go to q-lot. But it didn't.

What I did wrong or what is missing?

An 03 inspection lot is not stock relevant. No stock is ever controlled by an in-process inspection lot.

An inspection should be created, but you'll never see stock in QI or against the insp. lot.

The 04 inspection lot is stock relevant. But that typically doesn't happen until you do the GR for the material.

Sorry I misunderstood the question at the first time, Thank you Craig for correcting me.

You can assign the DMR at the header screen in routing. you can assign Dynamic mod. level and Modification rule.
