Production Order Change- User exit

Hi Guys

We have two BOMs, one is in SAP system, created at the beginning of the Project, it contain some alternate parts. During the cource of project client giveing another BOM it contain only specified items, some time it contain alternate part, so we needed to changet this in production order.

For comparison we created a program ( between SAP BOM and Customer BOM(Excell).

My requirment is I need to incorporate this difference in Production order , in component overview . I think user exit may solve my problem. But we are not worked in that area .

I like to know that whether this type of change can be carried out using user exit .

Whether user exit name PPCO0008 solve my problem?

Can any body guide for this problem
