characteristic relationship -> derivation in BPS

Dear all,

I try to us the exit function to derivate a characteristic in BPS. The exit function works when all characteristics are not initial. When one of the characteristics is initial the system didn't enter the exit function. What do I have to do to enter the exit function in that case?
