How does BW associate related information in an InfoProvider

Hi,

let's say that I have an InfoCube linked to 2 ODSs, which one of them containing related information. How can BW associate these information correctly? I mean, for example, if I have a Bid Invitation in an ODS and Bids for that Bid Invitation in the other ODS, how these documents are associated correctly in the InfoCube?

Hi Thiago,

The way is works is that you would have a Bid Invitation ID on each Bid record. This will link up the data in one ODS (Bid Invitation) to that in the other ODS (Bids for each invitation).

"Bid Invitation - Single Documents" - 0BBP_BID

"Bids - Single Documents" - 0BBP_QUO

But is it an automatic association or do I have to change the update rule?

In the BCT, the Bid Invitation ODS is linked to the Bids ODS. The Bids ODS presents the Bid Invitation ID, as you said, but I can't see this association in the update rule or anywhere else. When I load data in the Bid Invitation ODS, the association is made correctly and I just can't see how.

I haven't worked with the Bids exactly, but this is how the record is created in the source I believe. Can you please post the name of the business content ODS so that I can see details...
