Problem Adding Characteristics to an Info structure

I'm trying to add new characteristics to an infostructure in R/3, with transaction mc22.

This infostructure is an infosource for BIW.

Actually it has 9 characteristics and I want to add two new.

After I choose the two new ones and click the button "copy" the system give me this error:

Choose no more than 9 Characteristics

What it means? That the info structure only allow 9 characteristics? no more?

Dear Alejandro,

Limit of characteristic in LIS is up to 9 characteristics, this is because when you generate the infostructure, beside the characteristic as keys, infostructure will consist 7 standard keys like : MANDT, SSOUR, VRSIO, SPMON, SPTAG, SPWOC, SPBUP.

Limit of key for R/3 table is only 16 keys, so the maximum characteristic is 16 - 7 = 9.

If you need more characteristic, may be you can combined some of the characteristic into one, using concatenate.

We had the same problem in our system. We had no work around other than compromising with the user.
