Hi Sree,

Without a crosstab, you'd need to know each of the ProdGroups. You'd then need one formula each for every ProdGroup.

Hi Abhilash;

If the groups are known then which formula will help. Could I use a running total

You can not use Running totals if you want totals at the top. They are whileprinting functions so can only show totals at bottom

You will need to create a formula for each Product Group and as Abhilash says you will need to define all possibilities. Thus if you add a new product group in future then you will need to update report. Whereas a Cross tab report they will be included dynamically.

Formula will look like

@PG-001

If ProdGroup = 'PG-001' then qty else 0

You can then add a sum summary and this can be placed in report header.

Thanks Ian I think it would be better to go with the Cross Tab. Because there are possibilities of creating new groups.
