I need to know if there are any standard SAP tcode to display archived functional locations, equipments, measuring points, BOM, TL etc like IH06, IH08 etc. I am aware of sap standard tcodes for archive and reporting (SARA, SARE, SARI , ALO1). Has sap provided standard tcodes in PM like IK41 for archived measurement documents etc? If also there is availability of option to all these reports (ih06, ih08, ik07 etc) to enhance with secondary index for selection of archived objects.

The whole point of archiving is to remove the data from the SAP system.

When you perform th archiving activity, you can choose to:

  • Delete only - the data is completely deleted and not retrievable
  • Delete and save archived data to an external system

In addition, you can create historical orders when archiving PM/CS orders (see IW61).

Delete and save archived data to an external system

We are of the concern that we do not want to loose the data, so we plan not to move the data outside SAP DB but store it in the same server DB. Can it be possible to get this data as and when we required through any standard SAP tcodes available for PM?

Currently there is a Excel sheet available which lists all transactions and reports to access archived data by archiving object.

I am just adding the link as explaining the path to find it is probably useless since the whole site is going to a restructuring process

Hi Jürgen: what is the real website address to go to find this file?

I'd like to see what other documents go with the XLS file you pasted here . Vielen Dank!

I don't know.

It is now 3 months later and the portal is restructured, there is no menu structure anymore.

in the Excel file itself is stated: The original version of this document is stored in the SAP Service Marketplace under /ilm > Data Archiving > Media Library > Literature & Brochures.

The same path is as well mentioned in OSS note 671421 - FAQ: Archive Information System

The initial page would have been service.sap.com

You can still logon to it, but the /lLM quick link does not exist anymore

If you are keen to get it then challenge the support people at SAP and open an incident referencing to the OSS note 671421 and ask for a note update with the correct information 😜

But I guess your main issue is that you have no user id and password, because the link that I shared still works. Contact somebody in your organization who has access to OSS notes. It is the same user id and password that is required for above link
