When installing FES it requires a database and any one of MaxDb, ASE or HANA can be used. How do I know which is the appropriate database to install to support FES? Or could I use an existing HANA db (i.e. share the db with another Netweaver Application Server?

Fiori is just another addons on NW system, It supports most of the databases. You can check in PAM.

Yip - kind of knew that all were supported. The landscape design for our environment includes a separate HANA DB for every F.E.S instance (i.e. 4 x HANA dbs) - this is the way the provide spec'd it. This seems ecessive (especially given the way they have spec'd the HANA dbs - given they only host application atrefacts and config data for the ABAP Server). Just curious on the general approach out there.
