Passing values from SAP Design Studio 1.6 to SAP Solution Manager

Hi All,

I am creating a Design Studio report on SAP Solution Manager where I will be showing a list of tickets and all the relevant information of the tickets.

Now I have a requirement to check if the ticket values from Design Studio can be passed to Solution Manager and if the details can open up in Solution Manager directly to see the detailed information. I have done a research on this and could not find any supporting articles.

Can someone let me know if this is achievable?

Thanks.

Poojitha

Poojitha - if you are on SolMan 7.1 (and depending on SP) you can use report-to-report interface to open up to a SolMan Transaction (CRMD_ORDER)

With 7.2, what I recommend is creating a more detailed BEx Query and use report to report interface to go from ticket summary to detailed information on the BEx query for the tickets https://blogs.sap.com/2015/12/29/sap-businessobjects-design-studio-report-to-report-interface/

    Hi Poojitha,

This requirement will only be possible if Solution Manager provides a parameterised URL API to launch Solution Manager transactions. In such a case the Solution Manager URLs could be constructed in your Design Studio application and launched as standard. While I won't claim to be a Solution Manager expert one option might be to integrate Solution Manager with Enterprise Portal so that transaction can be called via an iView URL. Here are some links that may be relevant to get you started:
