We have a distributed system with separate SAP application servers (Linux) and separate standalone database servers (Linux) running Oracle 12c RAC/ASM installed with user oracle:oinstall.

I understand from the below links that the BR*Tools executables should be installed and run from the individual database server(s), and then be called with DB13 from the respective SAP application servers using a remote shell connection.

My question is: In which directory on the DB server would the BR*Tools executables be installed?

Hi Richard,

As per SAP note 1598594, the path depends on environment variable SAPEXE.
So you can put brtools to anywhere, but make sure the permission is set as per the note.

Best regards,
James
