HANA DB not responding

Hello everyone,

I have a problem during the installation of SAP B1. I would like to install server components but always this error going to appear.


Looks that everything is running properly.

    Hi Patrik,

    Please validate that you can resolve the hostname from that system you are running the setup from. Try running "ping <hostname>"

    You can also run "telnet <hostname> 30015" to validate you can reach the indexserver.

    You are pinging hanab1 from hanab1? Is that right?

    So that B1 Setup Wizard is to add on components for an existing B1 system? If that is the case, then there is a bit more going on here.

    Try the "telnet hanab1 30015" and see if you can reach the listening port.

      thank you for your reply.

      Yes I've pinged from the hanab1, when I'm pinging from the client there is no issue.

      I've tried telnet and it looks that connection is lost.

    If you can't reach the hanab1 server from the client, then it's probably a firewall issue.

    I would check with your networking team to see if these ports are open. On the client, are you able to connect HANA Studio or hdbsql into the HANA system?

      Hello Patrik,

      The studio would also use 30015 port to connect to HANA, so could you please confirm you can access HANA from the studio (seems yes from the last answer) ?
