Hi,
i have 2 questions today.
1.in the outline window of the webdynpro, we can find UI element. On right clicking it, we can see "Apply template" option. But in my computer that option is somehow disabled. Can anybody tell me how to enable it??
2.Is there anyway of accessing the help file that comes with webdynpro software??If yes, please help me with that and also what is the extension of the help file????
i would be glad if anybody can guide me with these queries.
thank you
regards
Raghu
Hi Raghu,
1. You can use "Apply Template" if you have selected a UI Element into which you can apply it. Just try it and select the RootUIElementContainer and open the context menu. If it works now you had selected a UI Element that cannot contain other elements - at least not those you wanted to insert.
2. I'm not sure whether I've got your question: Are you looking for the help on web dynpro in the Developer Studio? Why do you need the extension of the help file?
Kind Regards
Stefanie

Hi Stefanie,
well thanx first of all for responding.
I actually tried rightclicking on the rootUi element container but the "apply template" option was not active. The process untill then was correct.I tried the same on a different machine and it worked fine.I think that the problem lies in my machine, but i cant figure out the solution for it.
I just wanted to know if we can extract the help in the webdynpro to our PC.I got a PCwith low configuration at home and i cant install the nwds on it.So i want to extract the help file and read it at home, if that is possible.I need the help file extension so that i can search by extension and extract it to a floppy and load it into my PC at home.
Warm regards
Raghu
Hi Raghu,
to use the help of NWDS, you need to have a NWDS installed.
But you can find the documentation as PDF here:
The help for Web Dynpro for Java is split into severals files, which you will find under Reference -> Tutorials -> Web Dynpro.
Hope this will help you
Regards
Stefanie
