How could a planning sequence be executed without data authorization?

Hi,

we are implementing a new application with BPC embedded. Right now we are preparing the test system for our customers for their QA sessions.

We have to run some planning sequences to create initial data and there we get problems. In the test- and in the prod system we, as developers, have no access on transactional data. In case of reporting on actual data we solved this by executing all process chains with technical users which have sufficient rights. In case of a planning sequence this scenario doesn't work. In the same moment I execute the process chain I'll get these two error messages:

- Error while checking variables in planning sequence (Message No. RSPLS431)

- No Authorization (Message No. RSBOLAP002)

It doesn't matter if we execute a planning sequence with or without variables - The same error messages appear.

All attempts to check the security to find the missing authorization failed. We tried SU53, ST01 and the authorization log in RSECADMIN.

A senior support user, with access on the transactional data, could execute the planning sequence successfully.

We are on BW 7.4 SP14. Please, don't suggest to go on a higher SP-Level. This is no option.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Regards

Daniel

Hi Gregor,

sure, we have same planning sequences which uses variables in the planning function or in the filter.

But, and this is our main problem, the error messages appear also if the planning function nor the filter have any variables.

Hi Daniel,

the first message indicates that there are problems in variable replacement, so check the variables used in the filters or parameters of the planning functions. Maybe some variables with replacements by authorizations are used.
