To call ITS service from Portal

Hi,

We have a requirement to provide a link for an ITS service namely PZ07 on Portal page.

A simple approach would be to create an URL iView but this asks for user id and password. Is there any other iview which can serve the purpose?

Or please suggest other approach to get it done.

Thanks,

Tom

There is a specific iView type for ITS services...."SAP IAC iView" (IAC=Internet Application Component...which is what ITS services were called...along with EWTs). It is a much better choice than a URL iView because you can give it a system alias to use (ie. no need to change you URL each time) and simple tell it the service to use (along with any parameters you want to pass as well). Hope this helps!

    Hi Tom,

You can Create IAC Iview in Portal. There is an IAC available already for this Iview. So no problm.

Content Admin - > PCD - > Any folder ( Right click and create New iview)

-> SAP IAC Iview -> select your system (SAP_ITS_XSS) -> give PZ07 in IAC

    -> Finish -> Preview.

You can then assign this iview in your Role.

    Rgds,

    Jothi.

Pl close the thread if your problem is solved.

      Hi Jyothi,

We are using EP6.0 but I am unable to find the path as you mentioned. I am trying for PZ14...Is it required to create any IAC for this or is it available in portal already?

We can see the following under Content Administration

Portal Content >> Multiple Property Replacement >> Unification >> Portal Content Translation >> Web Dynpro

Can you please give me the full path?

      Thanks,
