Updating BW table from ECC side

Hello All,

There is a new requirement for a functionality, I need to update a BW side database table when an action happens on ECC side, i.e. I requires a cross-component table update. Can anyone help me this I was unable to fetch any useful info on this.

Use RFC function module to update a BW side table.
