Hiding the Fileds in the Activity/Oppurtunity transaction.

Hi Guys,

We are using the Activity & Oppurtunity Transaction.

We basicalyy copied the SAP stnadard Transactions and defiend new codes.

Now I want to hide some of the fields/Tabs in the transaction.

Where Can I do that.

I tried TCode SHd0 but the documentation states that it should be done only by the experieced people and so I dont wanna try it.

Is there other way where I can hide some of the fields

Hi Zack,

You can try SHD0, its not that tough, i had tried it sometime back without any guidance and i suceeded. For your requirement you can create screen variants since you want to hide only few fields. you can also delete the variant incase if you feel you are not right.

The other way around would be to make changes in the properties of the screen, you can hide your fields through transaction SE80. But for this you should have made a Z_ copy of the program.

Thanks for the reply.

I tried creating the Screen Variants but i am gettign the error

"Screen variant not used in transaction variants"

Can you me more specific how you have worked using the SHD0

Hi Zack,

1. Goto SHD0, enter the transaction code that you want to create a variant for.

2. Click on TRANSACTION VARIANT tab and enter the transaction variant name.

3. Click new on the application toolbar.

4. It will take you through the screens of the transaction where you can select the fields, pushbuttons, tabstrips which you dont want to display or you can even hide that particular screen.

5. once you are done with the screen required by you, click EXIT AND SAVE button in the popup.

6. Then click on SAVE button and it will prompt for a package and a change request.

7. you can test the transaction variant created.

Note: screen variants are created when you create transaction variants. You can delete the variant, incase you want to get back to the original screen.

Thanks for the reply.

I followed your advice and tried to create transaction variant name for the Oppurtunity Transaction

But I am gettign error saying "Variants are possible only for Dialog Transactions."

I am trying to hide fields and tabs in the opportunity section. I am receiving the same error you did. Were you able to resolve it? Can you provide step by step instructions.

Hi Zack,

If you want to hide some of the fields in the fieldgroup (get it from CRMC_BLUEPRINT table) use the tcode: CMRC_BLUEPRINT_C then goto APLICATION ELEMENT->FIELDGROUP STRUCTURE-> add the fields you wanted to show and dont enter the fields you dont wanted and generate the layout for that fieldgroup.

If you want to hide the tabs get the tabpage group from the table CRMC_BLUEPRINT of that transaction, go to the tcode mentioned above and customize it.
