Our project requirement is to connect and extract data from SAP ByDesign to SAP BW 7.5. ByDesign data is required in BPC, so we first need to load data to BW.
We connected SAP ByDesign with BW via SAP BW web services using .wsdl files, SOAP UI and ODP connection. The ODP connection is successfully setup by following the steps (Steps 1 to 4) mentioned in the following link:
The connection check is successful and we are able to preview the data in the BW ODP datasource as mentioned in the Step 4 of above link.
But when we actually try to extract data from ByDesign via Infopackage in BW, we get the following Source system error.

How you remove the error depends on the error message.
Note
If the source system is a Client Workstation, then it is possible that
the file that you wanted to load was being edited at the time of the
data request. Make sure that the file is in the specified directory,
that it is not being processed at the moment, and restart the request.

From the error message, we can infer that the data request is successfully received by the source system (ByDesign) but when the system tries to select the requested data, the error is thrown.
The Step 5 of the above link says “When the SAP NetWeaver BW administrator initiates a data replication run against the exposed data sources in the solution, the solution system creates an entry in the table of the Monitoring work center view in the Business Analytics work center.”
We can see the entry in the monitor in ByDesign the with successful status.
The ByDesign Datasource we are trying to extract in a normal Master Data Datasource (FINGLACCT – G/L Account). This not a joined, cloud or combined datasource.
All settings in BW infopackage and in Bydesign Communication Systems, Arrangements, Certificates, Scenarios are appropriately made as mentioned in the link above.
Please can you help in identifying the reason of the failure while extracting the data from ByDesign to BW?
