When we try to dispatch a planned order scheduled with Production Start date as 05 March to 02 March which is the basic start date ( Float Before Production -3 days ) , system is not allowing to dispatch it . As the system is considering only the Production start data for dispatching. What we need to if we want to dispatch the planned order only on Basic start date of the Order. Thanks.
Thanks Almeida for the response. Not changed anything in the strategy profile. And also not getting any error message as the system dispatched but to a different date than what is originally scheduled.Only changed the basic date of the planned order to today's date ( Example 08-March-17) and thus the order in pool present with a start date of 08-MARCH-17. But when dispatched the planned order Basic start date becomes ( Example 11-MARCH-17) and now the dispatched date becomes 11-MARCH-17 against the dispatched work center. Seems it is dispatch based on Production start date considering the float before production of 3 days defined in the schedule margin key.
Do you get any error or warning message on the log when trying to dispatch? Did you already try to change the settings on the capacity leveling strategy profile?
The requirement is that system should be able to dispatch the planned order or the operation based on Basic start / Earliest start date and should be able to scheduled on current date. Kindly advice.
Thanks for the Answer. We are dispatching planned order as a whole through CM25. While some planned are able to dispatched to past dates while other were unable to dispatch on past dates. Came across the following scenario. The Basic start date is 06-MAR-2017 and the Production Start date is 09-MAR-2017. When changing the Basic start date as 02-MAR-2017 ( Production Start date 05-MAR-2017) and trying to dispatch forwards system is not allowing to do that. It is allowing to dispatch only on 05-MAR-2017 which is on the production start date. Actually we want the planned order to get dispatched today which system is not allowing. Thanks.
I don't think it is possible on the standard system. In capacity leveling you do not dispatch an order, but an operation (or several operations) of the order, so the operation dates are considered when dispatching.
