error in flat file not detected

Hello BW Experts,

I am using csv file. for a infobject for length 10, the input in the file is 11 chars.

IOB1 - 10 chars

input expected in the file 1700000001

but input in the field 17000000011

no error reported in bw since bw was looking 17000000011 as

1700000001. and the postings are done to wrong account.

any suggestions how to avoid such a situation.

Hi

Change the length of the input file to 10 or write code in the transfer rules.

I think that it much easier to shorten the input file.

yes, you need to do it in TR or you need to change in file.
