Inquery in stock requirement list

Dear Expert,

I am proposing strategy 50 for MTO scenario for packaging industry.

Where sales order triggers the production, in stock/req.nt list (MD04) the inquiry and sales order is getting displayed in separate line items.

When I am converting the planned order into production order, the inquiry no is getting copied into production order.

Consequently production is taking place against the inquiry and stock is also getting assigned to it.

Result is at the time of delivery against the sales order stock is not available, since stock is assigned to Inquiry.

Kindly suggest some solution for the same.

Thanks In advance.

I suppose that by Inquiry you are referring to the quotation, right? In this case, you must ensure that a make-to-stock requirement type is assigned to the quotation, so that there is no reference to quotation special stock. You can assign a requirement type to the quotation item category in transaction OVZI.

    Hi experts,

I have explore all possible ways to drop inquery from getting considered from MRP.

As the material is it self tagged with Strategy 50, all the way material behaving like MTO across the sales process.

We test the scenario with requirement type MTS for inquiry and Quotation, we did not get the desired result.

We are planning to drop requirement type KEV from inquiry and quotation using user exit for same,

We have taken the test run for the same. in this case the sales order only getting considered and production stock is getting assigned to sales order.

Thanks caetano Almeida taking an interest in my query.

    Thus, this thread is closed.
