URGENT : Portal Permissions

Dear Portal Gurus,

I need to create a user which is for a developer who can create his own std iviews,pages,worksets etc inside.

But that user should not be able to view anything else in PCD.

Inshort when that user logs into EP he would see one folder inside which he would create iviews,pages,worksets etc but should not be able to view other folders in the PCD.

I tried providing permisions but I cannot see any folder for that user.

Is there a way to accomplish this.

Jones,

Evn if u give authorization to your employee to create iviews/folders etc they can't assign the created iviews to their EP id unless they have <b> User Admin </b> Role.

Very well you can create a Folder and if u put PCD into that , it means they can create any type of iview.Then how abt accessing ?

Hi Jack,

You can create the folder for the user inside PCD and give appropriate permissions to that folder for editing but for that folder to be visible to the user, u have to give permission to portal content. If u give permission to PCD, then all folders will be visible. May be u can remove permission individually for all other folders which u don't want the user to edit. But for visibility of them, I don't think there is any chance.
